Project Overview: Akila Foods Packaging Upgrade – A Premium Expression of Global Quality

Objective: Redesign the packaging for Akila’s diverse range of premium grains, beans, pulses, and sugars, reflecting the brand’s global sourcing expertise and unwavering commitment to quality.

Akila’s Premium Grain Collection Packaging Design

Akila Foods entrusted us with the task of upgrading the packaging for their extensive range, including premium rice varieties like Jasmine, Basmati, Sushi, Thai Fragrant, and parboiled white rice. The project extended to their beans and pulses range—featuring red speckled beans, lentils, popcorn, and more—as well as their white sugar products.

Our mission was to create a packaging design that embodies Akila’s dedication to sourcing the finest products from around the world. We began by delving into comprehensive research, allowing us to develop a design that tells the story of Akila’s meticulous procurement process.

The packaging features detailed illustrations that highlight the origins of each product, from Asia’s lush rice paddies to Africa’s sunlit fields. These visuals not only celebrate the diverse sources of Akila’s grains but also communicate the brand’s commitment to quality and authenticity.

To ensure each product in Akila’s extensive range is easily identifiable, we introduced a distinctive color-coding system. This approach effectively differentiates each variant, while maintaining a cohesive and premium brand identity across the entire product line.
